AJ brings a multidisciplinary perspective to fraud investigations, regulatory compliance, corporate intelligence, and covert operations—integrating investigative best practices with strategic risk management. He also serves on the Board of Directors for several industry-specific associations, including, the Security Guard Association of Ontario, where he contributes to advancing professional standards and regulatory advocacy within the sector.
AJ has led complex mandates across both public and private sectors. He has served as a Senior Consultant within a ‘Big 4’ Corporate Intelligence team and has directed cross-jurisdictional engagements spanning North America, Latin America, Europe, India, and Hong Kong. His work often integrates advanced intelligence methodologies—ranging from Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and Social Media Intelligence (SOCMINT) to Human Intelligence (HUMINT)—through the development of tailored, private-sector fusion models.
AJ’s operational versatility, includes experience as a specialized undercover operative within the transportation and logistics sector. He holds both AZ (tractor-trailer) and C (commercial bus) class licenses, positioning him uniquely for field operations in regulated industries. AJ is an appointed Compliance Monitor with Ontario’s Ministry of Colleges and Universities, assisting truck driving schools to remain compliant with the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.
AJ also brings culturally sensitive expertise to community-based investigations, notably those involving Tamil-Canadian networks, leveraging his native fluency in Tamil.
Academically, AJ holds a Master of Science in Security and Risk Management from the University of Leicester, an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Socio-legal Studies from the University of Hawaii, and an Honours Diploma in Investigations, Public & Private from Sheridan College. He is currently completing his Master of Laws in Business Law from Osgoode Hall Law School. His professional certifications include designation as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), a Level 1 Certificate in Interview and Interrogation Techniques (Wicklander-Zulawski & Associates), the National Investigator and Inspector Training Certificate (CLEAR), and the Workplace Investigations Certificate (HRPA). These credentials reflect his commitment to methodological rigour, audit and compliance standards, trauma-informed practices, and evidence-based investigation.
